Our Story

In 2019 we started Houseplants New York LLC with a plan to become the premier plant supplier to independent grocers in the NYC metro area, offering a (DSD direct store delivery) full service plant program.

For stores without a floral / plant department, our expert reps can develop a plant program that boosts revenue at no cost to retailers from conventional to gourmet.

In 2022 we expanded our full service wholesale business with D2C (direct to consumer) selling online on various major platforms like Amazon, Etsy, Walmart, eBay, Meta platforms, and our Shopify store.

In 2023 we started a retail plant consulting division, advising stores on how to start or improve there plant and floral departments.

In 2024 a plant broker division was started, sourcing and delivering wholesale bulk orders to large scale chains and stores across the US.

Also in 2024 we began offering wholesale orders to flower shops and other retailers in NYC & are in the process of developing a user-friendly wholesale ordering app, with a projected launch in mid-2024.

In early 2026 we opened our first customer facing location in Queens, NY selling all our variety of Lucky Bamboo, all sizes of tropical plants in addition to fresh made Floral arrangements.
